Those who renovate their own home often want a barrier-free bathroom and a level shower.

While this can be easily planned in advance by the architect and planner in new buildings, the situation is somewhat different in existing properties, i.e. old buildings that are to be renovated.

The problem in old buildings

The decisive factor is the construction height of the floor. The lack of a slope to the often distant wastewater pipe can often put a spoke in the builder's wheel.

The installation of a barrier-free shower at ground level was not possible until now.

Floor drain pump for a barrier-free shower in an existing building

We have the solution for existing buildings

The floor drainage pumps of the PLANCOFIX product family were specially developed for the disposal of shower water that cannot drain into the existing wastewater pipe without a drain slope.

It is a flat floor drain with an integrated pump. After the old shower tray, tiles and screed have been removed, the PLANCOFIX is integrated into the new, barrier-free shower floor and tiled as desired. As soon as the water runs out of the shower into the tank, a small pump inside pumps the water via a pressure line into the nearest waste water pipe.

Embedded in the tile backsplash, the PLANCOFIX can be installed either completely tiled, partially tiled or with a stainless steel drain. Design variants, either as point or linear drainage, provide the sanitary company installing the system with a wide range of design options.

With PLANCOFIX, the raised shower tray can be dispensed with in future and realization of a modern tiled barrier-free shower area can be true.
