Grease separators are required by law for businesses that produce wastewater that contains grease.
The required nominal size (NS) depends on the number of connected operating units, the type of operation, or the amount of wastewater (peak flow).
DIN EN 1825 and DIN 4040-100 regulate the use of grease separators. Local by-laws concerning wastewater disposal may include additional requirements regarding the configuration of grease separators.
The Splitfix grease separators are available in five sizes, with a choice of flow direction, to the right or left, which must be taken into account in the configuration and dimensioning.
In Germany, the sampling tank is a mandatory consideration during planning. It is available with a horizontal or vertical outlet, as required.
The slim design of the NS2 and NS4 allows easy transport through just about any door, which makes these units suitable for retrofitting in existing buildings.
The Splitfix grease separators are designed to be installed as free-standing units in buildings. This reduces the installation time and the construction and installation costs.
A viewing window with wiper, integrated as standard, makes it possible to check the fill level and avoid overfilling and operational disruptions.
Grease and sludge are disposed of hygienically and odour-free via the discharge pipe. The V-shaped profile of the tank floor allows the entire contents of the tank to be emptied.
The filling system makes it easy to refill the tank with water.
Maintenance access is possible from two sides, which is ideal if installation space is restricted.
The functions and automation of the Splitfix can be expanded with modular accessory sets.
If the outlet lies below backflow level, or there is no backflow protection meeting the requirements of DIN 4040-100, then a lifting station must be installed downstream of the grease separator.
